Wayne and Kathy celebrate 20 years of ownership in 2019!
Sunlite, a long time staple of the Detroit Lakes community, is a full service restaurant and bar with a small grocery store that is open year-round. Wayne and Kathy both grew up on Floyd Lake and have fond memories of biking to buy candy at Sunlite when they were young. They took ownership of the business in 1999.
Sunlite has become known for its fun and energetic staff, fresh hand-pattied beef burgers, and unique offerings of elk, bison, and veggie burgers.
The team takes great pride in being a family friendly restaurant and bar with affordable pricing. They have something for everyone – indoor and outdoor seating, big screen TVs, bubble hockey, pool tables and other games, candy, ice cream treats, and a small grocery with cabin essentials.
Boat parking is available on both sides of Richwood Road, providing access for all of the Floyd Lakes. Customers can enjoy a lakeside meal on the restaurant’s deck during the summer. Positioned on the “Richwood North” snowmobile trail, customers can warm up with a full menu of hot toddies in the winter.
